This site was updated late July 2023. It is a collection of  over 600 images taken on Bougainville mainly in the 1970's & 1980's when the island hosted the Bougainville Copper Mine. Also there are quite a few recent ones including pictures from the peacekeepers who arrived in 1997 & 2002, these are located on the "Peace'' page. 

The pictures came from many sources, acknowledgement of the sources on Sing Sing page.

Typically the pages will contain groups of images. The major group for each page will play automatically. The other groups will start if you click on the start or stop symbols located at their lower right hand corner, these will display when you hover in the area. This will also show the title.

Clicking on a picture will stop the slide show & make it full size.

Click on the blue triangle to start each pages island based music.

The number of music tracks has been reduced to allow more pictures.
