Christmas on Bougainville was a great event, for the adults there were parties and for the children there were major events at Loloho & Panguna with Father Christmas, presents, and colourful rides (usually manufactured at great expense by the clever tradesmen at BCL's various workshops). The clubs also had events, my children loved the Country club event with lots of presents. The camp messes pulled out all the stops providing the residents with exceptional meals.
